Dearest TuneUp User
We’ve received a lot of feedback from our users about frustration with TuneUp 3.0 and want to make sure you have the best possible TuneUp experience.
Long story short, the decision to release 3.0 was made by the previous management and since then a group made up of the founding team has acquired the TuneUp assets and is committed to make sure you are taken care of. See more here!
The good news is that we have a solid and easy solution for you. We strongly suggest that you upgrade to the new version of TuneUp 2.7.0.1. It’s very stable, fast and accurate and is sure to address all of your music organization needs.

We look forward to answering any additional questions you have.

Then try it again, the version is perfect! Completely happy they made this move.
Boro, yes there was a couple of spam-ware programs during installation that required un-checking. Good luck trying to get rid of conduit, you may be better off with a system restore- roguekiller or adwcleaner might work- Good Luck!
I've managed to install 2.4.8 by uninstalling the previous version, but it still will not attach cover art to the albums. I have had this problem since 2.4.6 and without this key feature this program is useless to me.
Rolled back to 2.4.8... Works like a charm, it's nice you are back! thanks a lot, stay tuned, please...
Much better, than 3.0, agree at 100%
Jeff, are you having problems with attaching cover art to all of your albums or just some? If it's just some of them then you can probably solve that problem by clicking on the cover art in TuneUp and selecting one of the other choices.
It started with the upgrade to 2.4.6 and I have not been able to attach any cover art, either in bulk or by choosing an album individually.
Thanks for all of the feedback everyone!!! We are working hard to answer all support requests. Thanks in advance for your patience if you are experiencing issues and have an open ticket with us.
We also ask that if you are experiencing an issue to check out the FAQ and Help sections for answers.
We're happy to be back!

Your ticket has been updated with a possible solution to the sync issue that you are experiencing.
Well, this sounds vaguely hopeful. I hope you'll forgive me for my scepticism but I'm happy to give you a chance. TU 3.0 isn't just slow and unreliable, the one time it did do something it absolutely totally SCREWED UP my library. It took albums that were perfectly well sort and split them up, usually assigning some sort of "Best Of" album to many of the tracks, causing the cover art to change too. Worst hit were compilations, which were mostly completely torn apart.
My only hope of restoring them has been the History/Undo feature. Except that TU3 never seems to be in a permanent state of "analyzing" nowadays so I cant even get in to undo my previous changes.
My biggest question, will 2.4.8 allow me to do this? Is it clever enough to recognise the havok caused by 3.0 and allow me to undo the changes? Or will remove 3.0 also remove the history, thus destroying the only hope of repairing my library.
So glad that TuneUp is back the way it was as 3.0 was horrible. I complained twice about how much I hated the upgrade. Like someone said, attaching Conduit is like installing a virus and I don't understand why it's still part of TuneUp's setup. Getting rid of Conduit is next to impossible but if you weren't paying attention and let it install, here's a site that tells you how to get rid of it: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-conduit-apps-search-and-toolbar/
The Share tab in Tuniverse is still missing in 2.4.8, a feature I used to use quite extensively to create discussions on Facebook on artist and tracks in my library.
Maybe Fred can give an indication on whether the Share feature in Tuniverse will be restored and perhaps improved. I logged a call a while back on the Share option displaying only 3 of the last 5 tracks played in the library on Facebook. Prior Facebook timeline it use to display all of the last 5 tracks played on Facebook and even url's to go to additional information on the artist. It was really an awesome feature in TuneUp which made a great app even better & one of the great selling points for me.
Finally works again.
Update: We got to the bottom of the conduit issue and got rid of it. Thanks for your patience as we continue to clean things up.
Jeff you have to make sure that there isn't any existing cover art in the albums that you are trying to clean. TuneUp will not overwrite an existing album image. I simply select all of the albums that I want to clean then click Get Info and clear all artwork before I start and everything works great. Sometimes you will encounter an album that won't save with a specific image and may need to select another album cover from the few available. On a side note, great work TuneUp! My library is absolutely perfect right now.
Never had a problem with V3, but was sorry to see Tuneup Media quit operations last month. Very happy to see you back up and running!
I'm now very annoyed. Installing the new version also seems to have installed some malware on my computer. feed.helperber.com is also now installed on my browser. It wasnt there before i installed the new version and is there immediatly after.
This is not good. I'm uninstalling now as I cant trust the programme.
I would still like to know whether 2.4.8 is able to use the History data of 3.0 in order to UNDO the chaos it inflicted on my library ?
Or do I need to raise a ticket?
I did not see the helperber you mention, but I did see the Conduit software Stewart. I agree, adding such threats to a product is no way to do business.
This is AWESOME. They must have fixed the Conduit or whatev it is called... it installed perfectly and I am a happy user again! Thanks Tuneup, I was worried, happy that you are back. I know ya'll gotta be crazy busy over there. Keep up the great work.
All very well acknowledging the positive feedback TuneUp but you seem to be pointedly ignoring addressing the malware issue. What's the scoop? It's not on. Not at all.
Robert - it should be helperbar I had a typo. If you have Chrome do an address bar search and the watch the URL it sends the request through. I though it was odd that it forced closed Chrome when I did the install.
That's odd. I have 40k tracks and mY lib loads within min. Have you checked ur iTunes installation/library. A year ago I had a similar problem and their support gave me some instructions to fix my lib. I don't remember the article but it is here somewhere. Good luck.
TuneUp Official Update:
Hi everyone. There has been conversation here about the optional installers that have caused a great amount of concern for our users. As we posted earlier- This has been resolved!
Thanks again for the updated information everyone.
Again, we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for our users.
Thanks again for providing your feedback! Through your feedback and by bringing this to our attention earlier this week, we have been able to quickly remove these offensive installers from our program. Moving forward, this is a non-issue for new installations.
Best Regards,
Fred

The issue that you are experiencing is most likely an issue with your iTunes database (errors). If there are errors present in your library, TuneUp will fail the initial sync. I have opened up a new ticket for you. Please try the suggestions that I provided and update your ticket.
Help Topic can be viewed here: http://support.tuneupmedia.com/hc/en-us/articles/202237488
Thanks for fixing tuneup. Working the way it did when I first purchased it.I have 120 000 tracks on my external hard drive and it only takes a few minutes to scan, 3.0 would freeze .
Thanks
And still nobody has confirmed for me that 2.4 can read the history from 3.0. So I assume it can't, which, unfortunately makes it a worthless product/downgrade for me. I need something that can UNDO damage made by 3.0. I don't care if that's version 3.x, 2.x or banana.x I would just like to know which version please. 3.0 claims to be able to but it can't.
I've got about 8000 purchased tracks which seems too much for 3.0 to handle.
I will happily raise this issue as a ticket but I thought here might be a good first port of call.
I used tuneup 3 to undo the changes it had made to my library. I am pretty cautious so it was really easy for me to do... I would be shocked if tuneup 2 can undo changes from 3 though. Prob best to undo the changes made with 3 then downgrade. Hope that helps
Samuel, I've tried every method possible to get the artwork attached to the album. Currently the albums that will not work do not have any artwork attached and never did. This has been the case since the upgrade to 2.4.6 years ago and I gave up on TuneUp then. I never had version 3. This program is still useless as far as I am concerned.
@ Jeff,
It appears that you may be experiencing a iTunes artwork "Caching" issue. The issue is that iTunes will "report" that there is artwork assigned even though there isn't.
Here is a quick "possible solution"- Please do open a support ticket if you would like to further troubleshoot the issue if necessary.
Clearing iTunes Artwork Cache

Sorry Fred, still no success. If I feel like spending any more time on this I'll open a support ticket. I've been through this many times before.
