Upgrading or Overwriting TuneUp from the Mac App Store

You will only ever have a single installation of TuneUp installed on your machine at any one time, regardless of whether you downloaded it from our website or from the Mac App Store. Therefore, if you have any version of TuneUp installed when you attempt to purchase it from the Mac App Store, you will receive a warning that looks like the one below:

By clicking "Buy" you will overwrite your existing version of TuneUp and install the Mac App Store version. If you already had an Activation Code that you purchased, that code is still valid, but it will only work within the trial version of TuneUp which you download from our website.

I purchased the TuneUp Lifetime Bundle direct from the TuneUp web site. I've noticed that the current Mac App Store version is 2.3.5, whereas the latest available via the TuneUp web site is 2.2.0

Is it possible to switch to the Mac App Store version without having to pay again?

Hi Mark,

We will be releasing an updated version of TuneUp for Mac (and Windows) in the coming weeks that will include the same changes found in the Mac App Store version of the software. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

Please feel free to reply to this message if there is anything else we can help you with.

Best Regards,

Is there a way to switch to the App Store version without having to pay again? App store versions are just more convenient and eventually everything will probably go that way.

I would rather switch to the Itunes store as well. And agree with Patrick Brannelly that this is direction to go. Will existing users be supported to switch to the app store version with their current license?

+1 for this, I would like to switch to the Mac App Store version, easier to know if there is an update, and easier to manage if we change our Mac

I would also like to switch to the App Store version rather than upgrading manually every time.
