TuneUp differences in the Mac App Store

TuneUp is available in Apple's Mac App Store, and while it is not functionally different from the most current Mac version of TuneUp available on the TuneUp website,  there are some differences that users should be aware of.

  • There is no "trial mode" available in the App Store Edition. The application must be purchased prior to download and installation, and from that point on, all features are "activated" and available. In fact, the Mac App Store does not allow any kind of "trial" mode, and instead, provides a robust rating system in order to provider users with advanced knowledge of an application's quality.
  • There are no "Activation Codes" associated with the App Store Edition, as the App Store itself provides the purchase and download process.
  • As with all applications sold via the App Store, the App Store Edition only works with the Mac OSX operating system "Snow Leopard" or higher.
  • For any "transfer", refund, activation, download and purchase policies, the Terms of Service of the Apple App Store apply.
  • All billing, refund, download, and purchase related inquiries and issues need to be directed to Apple Inc., as customer's billing and account information resides with them.
  • The TuneUp support team is still here to assist you with help in using TuneUp and any questions you may have.  There may be situations where they will need to direct you back to Apple customer support if it is a Mac App Store purchase and we don't have the informations that can help. TuneUp's support portal is located at: http://support.tuneupmedia.com.
